The wait is over! Curvance testnet is finally here. This article tells you everything you need to know about how to participate in Curvance’s incentivized testnet and how to get started using the application.
Curvance Public Testnet is now live! All users can start testing the dapp by visiting app.curvance.com.
Curvance is a first-of-its-kind modular protocol for optimized liquidity management that acts as a unified reward and utility layer across decentralized finance. The protocol introduces a new way to unlock the capital efficiency of yield-bearing assets while simplifying cross-chain portfolio management through an intuitive interface.
Curvance’s deployment to Sepolia testnet marks the completion of a major milestone ahead of the protocol’s Beta release, expected later in 2024. Throughout the testnet period, eligible users are invited to test and provide feedback on their experience using the application in various phases based on their participation in the Curvance Community.
By participating in Curvance testnet, users have the opportunity to support the development of the Curvance protocol by providing valuable feedback on the application’s interface and functionality. Additional features and markets will be added throughout the testnet period while implementing collected feedback to improve the application through an iterative process.
Users that complete tasks and provide high-quality, actionable feedback have the opportunity to earn Bytes as part of Curvance’s Community Incentive Program that will run throughout testnet and Beta. More details about Curvance’s Community Incentive Program and ways users can earn Bytes will be shared closer to the protocol’s Beta release.
Read on to learn more about the different phases of Curvance testnet and how you can get started using the application.
Testnet Phases
Curvance Public Testnet is now live! All users can start testing the dapp by visiting app.curvance.com.
Eligible users will have a chance to participate in Curvance testnet in four different phases throughout the testnet period. Early supporters and contributors are invited to participate in the Private Testnet Phase to provide preliminary feedback on the application and earn additional Bytes.
Curvance Discord members with the Curvancian role and members of Floppy’s Fun House on Telegram can whitelist their wallet addresses by claiming an invite code shared in their respective channels. Codes can be redeemed by using Curvance’s official invitation portal found at https://invite.curvance.com.
The Purple Privilege phase of testnet will grant access to active contributors of the Purple Ecosystem with eligible roles that have joined and completed verification through Curvance’s Guild. Eligible roles include Wormhole SWs & ETs, Monad Nads, Pyth Priests, and Pike Nomads. Users must claim roles to participate in the Purple Privilege phase of testnet before the snapshot on April 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM UTC.
Community members with Partner Roles and Galxe OAT holders will have the opportunity to participate in Curvance testnet in the third phase of testnet. This phase of testnet will grant access to anyone that holds at least one partner role or those who have participated in Curvance’s previous Galxe campaigns. To participate, eligible users must claim their roles or hold a Galxe OAT before the snapshot time on May 3, 2024 at 12:00 PM UTC.
Finally, Curvance Public testnet will be available to anyone interested in testing the application and providing feedback. The public phase of testnet will take place in the final weeks of the protocol’s release and will conclude with the end of the testnet period. Users that missed the snapshot deadline in Phases 1–3 will need a Curvance invite code to participate until the public phase begins.
An overview of Curvance testnet phases and requirements can be found in the table below.
Curvance Faucet
The Sepolia testnet is a proof-of-stake (PoS) testnet where Ethereum application developers can test their smart contracts without having to spend real ETH tokens. Curvance users can claim Sepolia testnet tokens by using the in-dapp faucet found at the top of the header of the Curvance interface.
To highlight partner protocols and integrations that will be available through Curvance users will be able to test the functionality of the protocol with a variety of tokens including CVE, ETH, WBTC, USDC, LUSD, mUSD, mkUSD, mETH and more.
To get started, make sure your wallet holds some Sepolia ETH and is connected to the Sepolia RPC endpoint.
How to use the Curvance Faucet:
- Click Faucet
Select the Faucet icon at the top of your screen when entering the application. A modal will appear with the various Sepolia testnet tokens that are available to claim. User the external faucet to claim Sepolia ETH. - Select Tokens
Select the tokens you want to claim or click the Claim All button to start the claiming process for all available tokens in the Curvance Faucet. Your wallet must hold Sepolia ETH to claim tokens from the Curvance Faucet. - Approve Transactions
Navigate to your wallet and approve the queued transaction. This process may take a few seconds to process.
Please note that each faucet request is limited to once every 24 hours per wallet. Additional Sepolia ETH faucets can be found here.
Using Curvance
Upon entering the application users will be greeted with a series of tasks to help familiarize themselves with the core functionality and interface of the Curvance protocol. Users must first use the Curvance Faucet found at the top of the application to claim Sepolia testnet tokens before proceeding.
While completing tasks, users will test the various actions that can be taken in Curvance such as Depositing, Collateralizing, Borrowing, Repaying, Lending, Locking, Unlocking, and Withdrawing. Users can quickly navigate to these tasks by clicking on the label in the notification menu to be redirected to each action.
After completing all tasks users will be prompted to complete a feedback form to provide additional context about their experience using the application and how it can be improved. Additional features will be implemented throughout the testnet period in order to collect feedback and improve the application through a phased approach.
By providing feedback on your experience you will be contributing to improving the protocol and eligible to participate in Curvance’s Community Incentive Program.
Dashboard
The Curvance Dashboard page serves as your personal command center for monitoring and managing your portfolio and active positions. It provides a comprehensive view of your total deposits, giving insight into the total value of the assets you have added to the platform. This page also displays the collateral you have posted, crucial for understanding your borrowing capacity and margin requirements.
Users can easily manage their positions by navigating to the My Positions section on the Dashboard Page, where they can view active positions, specific markets, and analyze the performance of each individual market in real-time.
Markets
The Markets page on Curvance offers a detailed breakdown of all markets and assets supported by the platform. Markets are thoughtfully grouped by smart contract risk and asset volatility, and each listing includes its respective blockchain, Total Value Locked (TVL), Total Collateral, Total Debt, and Maximum Debt. This comprehensive layout allows users to easily view and search markets for depositing, lending, and borrowing.
Furthermore, the page is designed to enhance user experience by providing real-time updates and analytics, enabling users to make informed decisions quickly.
Locking
The Locks Page on Curvance provides users with a centralized interface to manage and claim rewards from their locked positions while also offering visibility into lock activity across the platform. On this page, users have the flexibility to lock CVE either on a 12-month basis or on a continuous rolling basis, depending on their investment strategy. Additionally, the Locks Tab on the right allows users to manage these locked positions effectively and to manually unlock veCVE whenever necessary.
Curvance introduces a novel unified vote-escrow system, setting a new standard for interoperability across networks. This system enhances the functionality of locked tokens by allowing them to interact seamlessly across different chains. As a result, users can leverage their locked assets more effectively, participating in governance and earning rewards in a more fluid and integrated environment.
